I write where silence is expected, hoping to let you peek into the dark.

The big silent mental illness
Mental health is a vital part of our overall well-being — shaping how we think, feel, and act within the throes of daily life. Mental illness, a cruel shapeshifter, can touch anyone, often quietly and without much warning. I share my own journey not as a beacon of hope. Instead I offer my hand reaching out in the dark — so that someone, somewhere, might feel like they aren’t totally alone.
My journey with mental health and healing
Sharing my personal experiences is one of my versions of activism. “Sometimes just being yourself is the radical act. When you occupy space in systems that weren’t built for you, your authenticity is activism” -Elaine Welteroth
Sharing my story while being excruciating, tore my eyes open. The lack of understanding and support with mental illness scared me. “A burden”, “a coward”, “just not trying hard enough.” Solutions being dispersed at the speed of light to a reality they refuse to even glance at. You know you best. Let’s learn to trust ourselves.
